The Swiss pine oil distillery and the herb garden

Between Chienes and Issengo you can watch special craftspeople at their daily work. Since 1912 the Swiss pine oil distillery has been producing valuable essential oils, creams and herbal products from mountain pines growing wild in high Alpine locations. The herb garden is home to fine rare organic kitchen and medicinal plants. The herbal extracts and essential ingredients in the essential oils, creams and ointments have a soothing effect on body and soul.

Lago di Braies, Lago di Anterselva, Lago di Sorapiss and the Rio di Riva falls

Lago di Braies, a natural gem and known through the Italian television series “Un passo dal cielo” with Terrence Hill, invites to walks and boat rides. You should also not miss Lago di Sorapiss in the Province of Belluno, Lago di Anterselva and the Rio di Riva falls in Valle Tures/Aurina.

Children love horses and a hack through the most beautiful South Tyrolean nature is an unforgettable experience for most children. Conveniently, the two riding stables near our Pustertalerhof (approx. 5-10 minutes by car) offer courses and hacks for the whole family.

Whether on hot summer’s days or as a well-deserved cooling after other sporting activity: the water in our natural outdoor swimming pond and swimming pools feels good! Guests are also tempted by the nearby Laghetto di Issengo and the adventure swimming pool in Riscone.
